Wildwood Policies


Plant Warranty

We want your landscape to be a success! All retail purchases of trees and shrubs are guaranteed to live for a period of one year from date of purchase*. All trees, shrubs, and perennials are guaranteed to be true to name and variety and in healthy growing condition at time of purchase. Hardy (zone 6 or lower) perennials, groundcovers, and clematis are guaranteed until November 24 of the year of purchase. Provided that the plant has received proper care and that you have a valid printed Wildwood Nursery & Garden Center receipt, you will receive a one-time replacement credit equal to your purchase price of the material (sales tax not included). Delivery and or installation are not included and will be charged separately. We strongly recommend that if you notice any signs of decline or plant failure to contact us immediately so that we may help advise you with the best method of care to save your plant. A warranty is only as good as the degree of care given to a living plant that requires food, water, and a healthy growing environment.

Additional notes and exclusions:

·        Please be willing to present both your Wildwood receipt and the dead plant for replacement. Wildwood
         will issue you a merchandise credit up to the original value paid for the plant.
·        Wildwood will not return or guarantee any purchases without a Wildwood receipt.  A credit card receipt
          will not be accepted, only a valid Wildwood receipt showing itemized purchases will be accepted. 
·        Clearance items are not guaranteed.
·        Items purchased at wholesale or at a discount will not be guaranteed.
·        Wildwood has the right to deny replacement of any plant that fails to grow or perform to your liking due
          to neglect, improper handling or abuse.
·        Wildwood is not responsible for improper planting, transplanting, pruning, watering, fertilizing, herbicide
          or pesticide use.
·        Wildwood has the right to deny any credit due to insect, disease, deer or other animal damage.
·        Wildwood has the right to deny credit for extreme weather conditions.  This includes, but is not limited
         to, periods of drought or water restrictions, flood, wind, rain, sleet, freezing rain, excessive or fluctuating
         weather, temperature and environmental extremes, salt damage, and natural disasters.
·        Wildwood has the right to deny credit to damaged or infected plant material that we feel has the ability
          to recover with proper care or for plant material that lacks quantity or quality of flowers.
·        Wildwood does not guarantee plants left above ground or in containers, planters or window boxes.
·        Wildwood has the right to deny credit due to improper or untimely planting, placement of stock in the
         landscape, or care provided after time of purchase.
·        Wildwood does not guarantee marginal (tender) plants, annuals, vegetables, herbs or tropical plants
          not guaranteed to overwinter in our hardiness zone (6).
·        Wildwood reserves the right to deny credit for any condition beyond our control after it leaves our
          garden center. Wildwood also reserves the right to delay issue of credit until further information is
          deemed necessary to warrant proper replacement by staff.


In the event of delivery beyond the curb line, Wildwood assumes no liability for any damage to sidewalk, driveway or other property. Bulk mulch is delivered in dump trucks to safe, accessible locations only. Accessible locations include driveways and parking lots that are appropriately paved and have no obstructing wires, tree limbs or overhead structures in the vicinity. Wildwood staff reserves the right to refuse delivery of any material or service to a specific area on the property that our driver or staff feels is unsafe or if the customer’s request extends beyond the means of a normal delivery. Please be aware that if you are having plant material or hard goods being delivered that adequate access is required for the use of a handcart, ball-carrier, or dolly.  Wildwood is not responsible for any damage to walkways, patios, gardens, driveways, parking lots, or lawns as a result of transporting material across the property.  If two different types of products are to be delivered, such as bulk mulch and plant material, there will be two separate deliveries involved with two separate fees.

Hard Good Warranty & Return Policy

Hard goods may be returned with a receipt or proof of purchase within 10 days from the date of purchase. Returns are eligible for a merchandise credit or for reimbursement of payment using the same method of payment at time of the original purchase, not to exceed the purchase price. The item(s) must be unused, still in sellable and original condition, with any original packaging. Defective products can be returned with a receipt for a merchandise credit. Wildwood does not guarantee the performance or condition of any hard good item. Wildwood does not guarantee any item inappropriately used or maintained. Sale, markdown, discounted or clearance items are not guaranteed. There will be a 25% service charge for returned orders that were previously assembled by Wildwood.

Items Placed on Hold

We strongly recommend taking merchandise the day of purchase. In the event it is necessary to come back later, or have a friend or landscaper come back to the nursery to pick up material, we will hold material for up to 7 days. For any order, $500 or less, we require payment to be made in full in advance of holding. Any order more than $500 we require a 50%, non-refundable, minimum deposit to be made in advance of holding.  Balance is required to be paid in full at time of pick-up. We will not hold any items under any circumstances without a deposit or payment made in full.  All material set aside must be picked up within 7 days or an additional holding fee will be applied. Merchandise can be held for up to 3 weeks for an additional fee:  Perennials at $1 per plant per day, Shrubs at $2 per plant per day and Trees at $5 per plant per day. We will not hold annuals or hardgoods for any period. Delivery of items placed on hold must also be scheduled within 7 days unless a longer delay is authorized by the owner.

Special Orders

We recommend contacting our premier grower, Bower & Branch™, directly for all your tree, shrub and perennial requests.  In the event Bower & Branch™ is unable to source or grow the plant material of interest please email David at david@wildwoodri.com.  David will try his best to accommodate any special order with other growers after Father's Day. Special orders of plants or hard goods may vary based on season, pricing, current availability, supplier minimums, freight, packaging, sizing, quantity, and type of material.  Special Orders must be paid for in full at time order is placed and picked up within 7 days from the time the customer is notified that the material arrived in good condition at Wildwood.  Merchandise can be held for up to 3 weeks for an additional fee:  Perennials at $1 per plant per day, Shrubs at $2 per plant per day and Trees at $5 per plant per day. 


As a service to our customers, Wildwood may make recommendations for services to be performed by other individuals or businesses.  Wildwood accepts no responsibility for any workmanship or service performed by any referral.


The safety of children is very important to us. Due to the use of heavy equipment and tools on our property we advise that you keep all children close at hand. Children are not allowed to ride on carts or to be left unwatched by their parent or guardian at any time while on the property. Children are not allowed to climb benches or play with or around any nursery stock or hard good item.
